Water Rescue

LSFD PA Water Rescue Level 1 Accreditation

The Lake Shore Fire Department Water Rescue / Fire Boat is a 32′ Agressor manufactured by Oquawka. The vessel has a 1000 gallon per minute fire pump and Basic Life Support equipment. We are capable of transporting up to four victims and up to six divers. If necessary, LSFD has an agreement with Millcreek Paramedic Service to take a PA certified Paramedic on board to provide Advanced Life Support to victims. Once alerted, the vessel can be on its way in a matter of minutes.

When Lake Shore is alerted for a water rescue either on Lake Erie or elsewhere in Erie County, we also have Lake City Fire Company dispatched to assist with their water rescue team. Lake City does the same and has Lake Shore dispatched to assist them on water rescue calls.

We’ve posted some useful links below that may help you decide if you will go out onto the water or to obtain some useful information. LSFD reminds you to boat safely!
