Help protect your community

The Lake Shore Fire Department offers a variety of services to its community, therefore we offer a variety of membership classifications to anyone who is interested. Lake Shore Fire Department is an all volunteer organization that depends on the donations of its residents and the volunteerism of the community. We are always looking to welcome new members to the Department. If you may think that this sounds like something for you please contact us. If you live in the area of Pittsburgh Avenue, west to Route 98 in Fairview and from the Lake, south to the area of W. 38th Street, then you are able to join our Fire Department.

We offer many membership classifications such as Fire Fighter, Junior Fire Fighter (ages 14-17), Emergency Medical Technician, Fire Police, Associate, and Auxiliary. Any and all training is paid for by the Fire Department, there are also some requirements as far as time you must give to the department, however it is very little. The Department has also began giving its members some incentives for their time. If you don’t think Fire Fighting or EMS is something you want to do we also have memberships that do not require you to participate in those types of activities. These memberships include Associate members, who are business related only, or Auxiliary members, who serve as a fund raising asset as well as assistance to the Fire Department.

At any rate we are always accepting new members and if this sounds like something for you please contact us at 814-833-6508.
